Minimally Invasive Total Knee Replacement—Severe Knee Degeneration in Elderly Patients

Precision Surgery to Address Joint Problems in Older Adults
An 85-year-old patient with severe knee degeneration and deformity experienced difficulty walking and chronic pain. ROSA robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was performed to address these issues. The procedure utilized preoperative planning, real-time intraoperative analysis of bone and soft tissue, and precise implant alignment. With minimal incisions and reduced blood loss, the patient could walk on the first postoperative day, achieve full knee flexion within a week, and regain most daily functions within a month.
