Could Hip Pain Be Due to Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head?
A 36-year-old patient, who previously sustained a hip injury, developed avascular necrosis of the femoral head due to excessive joint wear and their tall, large body frame. After a detailed diagnosis, the patient underwent total hip replacement surgery. Postoperative recovery was smooth, with significant alleviation of pain, enabling the patient to regain a better quality of life.
