Cervical Spine Surgery – Spinal Stenosis in Elderly Patients

Age Is No Barrier – 3D Navigation-Assisted Surgery for Spinal Stenosis
A 74-year-old patient suffered from long-term cervical spinal stenosis at C5/C6/C7, experiencing persistent neck stiffness, numbness in both hands, and gait instability, which significantly reduced their quality of life. Considering the patient’s advanced age and multiple health risks, we performed 3D computer-assisted minimally invasive ACDF surgery. The procedure precisely relieved nerve compression and achieved vertebral fusion. The patient was able to get out of bed on the second day after surgery, with significant improvement in hand numbness, regaining comfort and quality of life in their later years.
